New Fastway® Product Fixes Dragging
Safety Chains

Fastway Trailer Products introduces a new solution to dragging safety chains. Unlike the do-it-yourself methods of looping or twisting chains to increase lift, the new Fastway® Chain-Upâ„¢ is a durable rubber sling designed to lift chains off the ground without compromising safety. The Chain-Up comes in two styles, one for standard ball mount applications and another for weight distribution hitches.

"Dragging chains are a thing of the past," said Progress Mfg. CEO, Jed Anderson. "The Chain-Up safely lifts the chains without having to wrap or twist the links, giving customers more peace of mind knowing their chains are secure."

"The Chain-Up makes lifting the chains easier," said Progress Mfg. Sales Manager, Rich Elliott, "because it stays with the truck or trailer when not in use."

New Fastway® Product Protects Shins and Trailer Harness

Fastway Trailer Products introduces its dual purpose shin guard. This handy sleeve protects customers from banging their shins against a ball mount, and it protects the trailer wiring harness from dragging on the ground.

"We've all unfortunately hit our shins on a trailer hitch before and it's not a pleasant experience. This product protects your shins from pain." said Progress Mfg. Sales Manager, Rich Elliott.

The Fastway shin guard also protects the wiring harness by utilizing an included rubber tether that loops around the harness, lifting it off the ground and out of harm's way.

The Shin Guard is fast and easy to install because there is no need to remove the hitch ball. Simply slide the Shin Guard down over the top of the ball, stretch the bottom down around the nut, and that's it. The Shin Guard fits both 2-5/6" and 2" hitch balls on ball mounts up to 2-1/2" wide, and is available in three colors: black, orange or yellow.

The new Fastway Shin Guard is currently available through dealerships serving the towing industry throughout the United States and Canada.

Progress Mfg. Announces Design Change to Equal-i-zer® Hitch

Progress Mfg. Inc., makers of The Original Equal-i-zer Sway Control Hitch, announced a hardware design change that will help hitch owners save more time while hooking up the Equal-i-zer hitch. This new hardware is known as the Snap L-Pin. The Snap L-Pin replaces the standard L-Pin and cotter clip, used to secure the weight distribution bars onto the L-brackets.

"Progress Mfg. works to continuously improve and innovate the Equal-i-zer Hitch," said Progress Mfg. Sales Manager, Rich Elliott. "The Snap L-Pin combines the standard L-Pin and cotter clip into one unit, so customers have one less thing to worry about while towing."

The unique Snap L-Pin flips up or down in one quick and easy motion to secure the weight distribution arms saving customers time and effort, versus placing the pin and inserting the clip.

Watch this video to see how the Snap L-Pin saves hook-up time.

Beginning in the spring of 2013, Equal-i-zer hitches leaving the Progress Mfg. factory will include the Snap L-Pin. The new Snap L-Pin can also be purchased in a retail 2-pack (Part # 95-01-9430).
